Dead Day!!!!

Today is the last day of class for the Spring Semester!  WOO!!!!  During the last week of classes, no organizations are allowed to do much of anything (thus the term dead week) to allow students to begin studying for finals.  The friday of dead week is also open for students to have an entire to day either relax, SLEEP, or actually begin studying for finals that occur next week.  Dead day is looked forward to all semester by college students.  It ushers in the beginning of the end for us Bears.  Then, it's on to SUMMER!!!!!!!!

P.S.  Like most colleges and universities, UCA's spring semester ends during the first week of May, and entire month before most high schools let out! 

It's that time of year again.

So it's the middle of April.  Finals are just around the corner.  With this thought, you can see Torreyson Library steadily filling up with UCA students working on group projects, term papers, and getting a head start on studying for Spring Finals.  I, myself, am spending a large amount of time working on my seminar thesis and various papers.  The best part is that there are large tables for groups and single-person tables if you're studying alone.  Also, there are single person study room if you need absolute silence AND group study rooms if you're easily distracted.  Torreyson Library has full wireless so I can check Facebook when I'm actually supposed to be writing that paper too!  

It's been a long day, so I'm headin' out!

Spring Fling

Hey guys. This is my first post for the UCA website. I'm sitting here on a rainy afternoon listening to the screams of excitement. We had our annual "Spring Fling" today here on campus. The Student Activities Board sponsors different carnival rides to come to campus along with different attractions such as a NASCAR simulator, face and body painting, Sandy Candy, handwriting analysis, stuff a bear, wax hands, and even BUTT SKETCH! The best part is, IT'S ALL FREE!!!!!! So students can take a break during the hectic end of semester time of writing term papers, getting ready to pack up and head home for the summer, and having to say goodbye to roommates and friends. It's totally fun.

Spring Fling is just one of those things that makes UCA great!
